I am happy to welcome you on behalf of the 15th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum organizers.
This year we will address urgent issues united by topic “Russia 2018-2024: Reaching the Potential”.
Participants of the Forum are going to discuss human capital and social development, business matters and dimensional organization of our country along with such vital questions as environment protection and impact it has on economy growth.
Siberia will be widely discussed as well. Investment projects of Siberian Federal District will be presented at the road show that is planned as part of the Forum’s programme.
One more topical issue is digital economy and digital transformation of various life spheres. Digital economy development programme was approved last year and now is being put into action.
Typically, new ideas emerging during the Forum’s discussions influence future decisions of government authorities. I am deeply sure that unique atmosphere of the Forum, variety of issues and speeches of competent experts will become an interest of every person attending the Forum’s venues.
Wishing you all the benefits and fruitful work at the Forum.
DEAR COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS,
Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum has always been a place for substantive, in-depth discussions on Russia’s economic development strategies. The Forum has been successfully introducing new ideas on how to boost electric power industry, metallurgical industry, oil production and wood processing along with space industry, scientific research and technology. Development trends of the regions and new concepts of Russia’s economy growth have been discussed at its venues.
A number of landmark decisions on launching large scale investment projects have been made at the Forum. Now we are witnessing the results such as Lower Angara project execution, oil and gas fields development in the northern territories, renovation of city infrastructure in the capital of Winter Universiade-2019 and construction of the largest Siberian airport.
The 15th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum “Russia 2018-2024: Reaching the Potential” will again address federal agenda issues. The 2018 is the year of upcoming presidential election. It’s time to define the country’s development priorities, and we are sure the Forum will contribute greatly to making up national development plan.
Today, Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum is expected to come up with new breakthrough initiatives that will determine future economic growth at both the federal and state levels. Being a moving force of the Yenisei economic zone our region is able to become the core of the Eastern vector of Russia.
Economic issues relevant to Siberian macroregion are surely considered to be the matters of particular importance for the whole country. Leading experts, businessmen and government officials will gather to exchange views on such significant projects as the regional scientific and technological roadmap, formation of new economic growth areas in Siberia and sustainable transport systems of the future.
The attendees will also discuss how the government can support business community, how to introduce advanced technologies into metropolitan areas and use the best environmental management practices of leading manufacturing enterprises. Great attention is to be focused on economic cooperation with Southeast Asia and Euro-Asian Partnership members.
I wish all the participants and guests of the Forum to obtain great results at the discussion venues. I hope the decisions made at this event will pave the way for a breakthrough in the economy of Siberia and the entire country.
Acting Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai A.V. Uss
Dear friends and colleagues,
It's my pleasure to welcome you to Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum on behalf of Eurasian Economic Commission.
2018 is the year of Russian presidency in Eurasian Economic Commission. President of Russia Vladimir Putin has recently made an announcement to the member countries stating that the Commission should inform people of our major priorities and encourage a more empowered and engaged citizenry.
I am sure that some results of the Commission’s work have already become obvious. Customs check has been eliminated and custom clearance rules simplified to guarantee free goods flow inside the Customs Union; employment requirements for migrant workers have been reduced while qualifications now are mutually approved by all the countries of the Commission.
However, we are still facing lots of challenging tasks like establishing united oil and gas market, transport system and integrated financial market by 2025. Another large-scale project compared to the Soviet ‘GOELRO’ plan is digital transformation of the member countries.
In addition to that, our nations must concentrate on industrial cooperation, power industry projects, environmental sustainability and improving services in medicine, tourism and sport. President of Russia placed special emphasis on the role that regions should play in accelerating integration processes and providing closer cooperation between Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
As we move forward, these projections will be tested and refined further in the interest of implementing joint projects. We welcome any contributions to that endeavor.
I wish you to find new solutions to urgent problems and create groundbreaking ideas that will shape our future.
